This weekend, I went home to Sherman, and I was going over the calendar with my mom and Cody's mom. I better rest up in June, because come July, it looks like I may be going home every weekend...
May is almost over with! I have so many things to do before the wedding...like send out the invitations! And I really wanted to take engagement pictures. Hmm, I'll just have to put on my thinking cap later and try to figure out some free weekend when I can get with Cody to do that.
I just hope that things will slow down once me and Cody finally get married and that we can just enjoy our time together. I don't want these next few years to go by so fast!
Anyway, this weekend I got my wedding dress! It finally came in. After trying it on again at the store, I realized that it needs to be altered. It is slightly too big, so it's falling down a little bit to far on my waist, which is causing it to be too long. Hopefully, we will be able to get it taken in just enough so that it will be snug and I won't be pulling it up every few minutes. According to my mom, I have a tendency to do that a lot with strapless dresses, and it is not attractive.
I also went to a hair salon and got a trim, and we played around with some wedding hair styles. My favorite was a braid around my head that ends up in a messy bun on the side of my head.
This is a picture I just found that is sort of it...I am considering whether or not to just do my hair myself. I feel like after sitting there while the lady played with my hair that I could do just as good of a job as she did. And she charges $45. I mean if I'm going to pay her to do my hair, I think she should do something really complicated that I couldn't do myself. On the other hand, it would be nice to know that someone else will be there to worry about my hair so I don't have to stress out about it.
I vote that you let someone else do it. $45 really isn't expensive for an up-do and then you don't have to mess with it. I like the picture above too. I think that would be very pretty.
