Engagement

Well, kind of late notice, but I think this is a story that I need to tell!  My fiance, Cody, took me down to Dallas for some good old ice skating fun (round and round in circles around a huge tree...over, and over, and over again...) this past December!

Anyway, we had been on the ice for quite a while, and I was getting very tired of going around in circles; however, Cody would not let me leave the ice rink!  He was intent on us staying on the ice until they made everyone get off so that they can clean the ice with that nice Zambone machine they have.  So round and round we went.  Finally, they made the announcement which meant that we could finally leave.

Cody had been acting very strange while we were on the ice for that last bit...first he leaves me for a minute to go ask the skating attendant a question, which I was very confused by.  Then he starts to get on the phone with a mystery person!  I did not know who he was talking to!  But, I  heard him telling them to come downstairs to where we were.  Right about that time, I saw Cody's parents followed by his sister riding down the escalator, trying to be sneaky about it.  Cody's dad had a video camera out and a HUGE grin on his face.

  

As I turned around to ask Cody what his parents were doing there, I see MY family coming down behind them!  It was our entire families!  At that time, I think I realized what was about to happen, and I started freaking out a little bit because it was so unexpected.  Anyway, Cody kept me out there a little while longer, and eventually, I told him to get on with it, and he finally made his speech.  

To make a long story short, I SAID YES!  And we are now engaged :)
