Well, this weekend didn't turn out like it was supposed to. I was going to go home to Sherman this weekend for the homecoming game with Cody. His sister is a senior this year and she was in the top five nominees for homecoming queen and they announce the winner at the game. And, she is also the school mascot so we were going to go see her.
Unfortunately, my grandfather passed away this week and so I went to Beaumont with my family yesterday for the funeral. Yesterday was hard, I hate it when I cry. I always get the worst headaches whenever I cry and they usually last a very long time. So of course last night I went to sleep with a headache. But, I did learn a lot of cool things about my grandpa. He was in the military during WWII, he didn't graduate high school because of the war. I never knew that about him. If he would have graduated high school, he could have made it to the professional football league! He was really good at sports. Anyway, the military guys came out to the cemetery and did their salutes, and played taps. I was doing really good about keeping it together and not crying until they started playing taps. It was so sad, and it's making me tear up even now!
Anyway, after the funeral, we went over to my great aunts house and ate lunch and then me Brandi and Staci left to come back to College Station.
On our way back, Cody called and said that his parents bought him a new used car. I'm glad for him that he got a new car like he wanted, but at the same time it kinda makes me mad because I need a new car and I probably wont get one anytime soon, but his parents are able to just turn around and buy him a car the second his other one gets crashed. It's just not fair. But I do plan on calling the insurance company on Monday to see if I can get any money to either fix my car up or total it out and get a new one. I'm kinda keeping my fingers crossed for that second option, but I don't want to get my hopes up too high.
In other news, I had two exams on Thursday, and I have two more coming up on Tuesday. Not to mention two homework assignments due Monday, and one due Wednesday. Oh yeah, and have I started studying or working on any of these things? NO!! So I guess that it's sort of good that it worked out where I couldn't go home this weekend.
I might call Rachel later though and see if she wants to go hang out or somethin. I would call Dana, but she is getting her divers license this weekend so she'll be gone. She said she has to make a total of like 5 dives this weekend in order to get the license.
I have some more to say, but I need to go get ready and start working on some homework.
