Tapestry

Today, I'm thankful for Tapestry.  I began going to a women's small group a few weeks ago from my church called Tapestry.  We have been meeting together every other week discussing a book called Girls Gone Wise in a World Gone Wild...

The book is alright, but it's not my favorite book, or the reason why I go to this group.  The group consists of women from all different age groups.  I'm one of the younger girls in the group.  Not all of the women are married either, so it's nice to see things from a different perspective.  The reason why I love to go to this small group is for the fellowship.  

I love being able to go around a group of women who don't really know me or who I am and just be able to share what's going on in my life with.  They are supportive and give advice, and we pray for each other during the week.  And one of the best parts about it is that I know they're not going to go telling everyone what I say there.

It's also nice to know that the things and relationship problems that I'm struggling with are normal, and everyone, even the women who seem to have everything right with the Lord, struggle with the same things that I do!

So anyway, the chapters that we read from our book and discussed tonight are about the habits and the focus of a girl gone wise.  Hopefully, the small decisions that I make throughout the day have a good impact on my life and help me to be a wiser person.

That's the goal; although, I am still human, and I always make mistakes and sin.  No one is perfect, but we should all strive towards being better and better each day.
