Renaissance Fair!

Today I am thankful for the Renaissance Fair.  And for good friends to go with!  This weekend, Gigi is in town from Dallas.  It is our tradition each year to go to the Ren Fest together and it is so fun!  This year was extra special because we ran into 3 girls who had tickets to go to a wine tasting that couldn't make it so they gave us their tickets!  It was so much fun!!  Thank you Heather Killian!

So my costume this year was Little Red Riding Hood.  How do you think it turned out?  The whole costume was completely handmade except for the boots and my tights.  The theme this weekend was Roman Bacchanal, so Gigi dressed up in a toga.  Too bad Cody didn't dress up.  He took his Jedi Robe but didn't end up bringing it in because it was a little warm and he wore a sweater and jeans.

I love the Renaissance Fair!  I look forward to it each year.  Good food, good entertainment, good friends!  We got there around 1ish, and Cody went straight for a turkey leg and corn on the cob!  I had a few bites of the turkey leg, it was excellent!  And of course, we couldn't leave without getting a King Size bag of kettle corn.  The kettle corn may be one of my favorite parts of the whole day.  We always get it at the end and Cody and I eat it on the ride back home!  :)
