We had a great honeymoon! I was smart enough while we were there to make a few journal entries so I wouldn't forget what all we did and how we felt about things, so I thought I'd share a few of the hi-lights with you all!

August 8,2011 - 1st full day in St. Lucia:
Today we went to tour St. Lucia by ourselves. First we took a taxi to Rodney Bay because we were told there was a mall there; however, upon arriving, we decided it wasn't the kind of souvenirs we wanted. So we asked around and found out that we needed to go to Castries to see all the local shops there. So we exchanged some US dollars to EC (St. Lucia currency) for bus fare and we went there! Cody was scared because he thought we would get robbed or something like that.
So we get there, and we're walking down the street, and this man stops us. He's old and scraggly looking, Rastafarian type with dread locks and a frizzy beard...trying to sell us Cuban cigars. We didn't want them right at that moment and so we told him "no" when he proceeded to then ask us if we wanted instead to buy 'the good stuff'...aka marijuana!! (We said no...) We found out later that it's illegal in St. Lucia to sell marijuana, and also that the guy that was trying to sell it to us is always there, trying to sell it! HA!
Anyway, we finally found some good shops and bought some souvenirs to bring home. Then we hopped a bus back to Rodney Bay that cost us 2.25 EC per person ($5 got us 14.50 EC). Then, we took a taxi back to the Sandals resort, which cost us $12 each way! And it was a MUCH shorter distance than it was to get to Castries. Rip. Off.
When we made it back to the hotel, Cody breathed a sigh of relief, but I knew we'd be ok the whole time. We even met a guy along the way who's daughter is at A&M's medical school in Temple Texas! Proof that A&M is the best school...;)
August 10, 2011 - 3rd Night in St. Lucia
So last night, Cody bought a Cuban Cigar and we went out onto the beach and smoked it! I actually thought it wasn't that bad! Charis would be so proud... We got some good pictures out of it.
August 11, 2011 - Last Morning in St. Lucia
We are waiting for the bus to come pick us up now to go back to the airport! We are sad to leave, but also ready to get home. Last night was enjoyable. We went to dinner after getting cleaned up from snorkeling!
That reminds me: Snorkeling. It was my first snorkel experience. The guy that took us caught a baby octopus! It was really cool. When he let it go, it INKED!! Haha...
We also saw some blue fish like on Finding Nemo, baby squids, and a blow fish! It was fun. My back got some sun though! Then we just took it easy for the rest of the night.
All in all, an excellent honeymoon!
St. Lucia, No Pressure, No Problem!
