For those of you who don't know, a couple of weeks ago me and my husband said good-bye to Houston, and moved all the way across the state of Texas to Midland for Cody to go to PA school here.
I found a new engineering job which I started yesterday after a couple nice weeks of semi-vacation (we didn't really go anywhere except for home to see our parents).
Yesterday morning, I was very anxious. I always get that way whenever I start something new. Anxious like I can't stay asleep for very long and I wake up hours before I need to and then can't go back to sleep, but I just lay there in bed anyway, yada yada...
Most of the time, I have no reason to be anxious. I am fully qualified to do this job (I've been doing it for 2 years now, just at a different place), I am smart enough to figure out new computer programs quickly, etc.
So yesterday was no exception.
I get to my job and the first thing I get to do is go shopping with my boss to pick out my own chair! I spent the rest of the day setting up my desk and downloading some software that I'll be using here. So it was pretty nice and easy-going.
Today I'm trying to do some real work analyzing a small pipe bridge! I think I'm doing it right...
And here are some pictures!
