Engineers are supposed to design things?

Well, this is my second week of work...and today it finally happened.

I got asked to design something by hand!

Uhhh...how do you start designing something again?  What is this about forces and moments?  HA.  I got the assignment at the end of the day, so I didn't have much time to think about it, but I came home and pulled out all of my STEEL design notes from school.  I will be armed with two sets of notes, and a few different books tomorrow morning when I go into work to attempt to come up with something.

My biggest fear is that I come up with something and it's all wrong.  Luckily, most of the people at work that I've talked to so far have told me that it took them a long time to figure out how to do stuff when they started working so it's completely normal for me to feel this way.

I hope they weren't just saying that.
